Editorial Policy

Novignota publishes short research briefs built around what the source actually supports. Our job is to make research easier to discover and understand without turning possibility into fact.

Evidence first

We prefer primary research over press-release summaries. Claims should be traceable to the underlying paper, dataset, code, or other primary source where available. Peer-review or preprint status and important limitations are kept visible when they matter.

Findings and interpretation

We distinguish between what a study directly found and how its authors interpret those results. Interpretations, implications, and possible next steps are attributed to the researchers rather than presented as established findings.

Review

Low-risk, source-grounded Research Briefs may publish after automated evidence checks. High-stakes topics, ambiguous interpretations, Deep Dives, and material corrections require human review. When the evidence is unclear, we hold the item rather than strengthen the claim.

Corrections

Research changes, and our coverage may need to change with it. Material corrections preserve an audit trail where practical rather than silently rewriting the record.
